Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who are you guys?

Hey, thanks for asking. We’re the Parent Life Network, a division of Square Crop Studios Inc. We’re all about helping Canadian families, so we’ve teamed up with PlaytexBaby to spread the love with our Dear Baby campaign. We’ve always got lots of exciting things going on like our Canada’s Luckiest Baby contest, our fun and informative blog, and our massive Facebook community forum of new and expecting parents.

  • So, what’s this contest all about?

Our dream is to make parents’ lives better. We want to do that not just through our amazing prizes, but also through a great campaign all about loving your baby. Whether you’re adding photos, sharing your letter on social media, or viewing letters written by other parents, we want you to experience and share all the love out there. And of course, since this is a contest, we will be giving away an awesome grand prize to one lucky member.

  • What are the requirements?

Your baby doesn’t have to be the most talented, adorable, genius baby in the country (although we don’t doubt that they are). In fact, your baby doesn't even have to be born yet. The only requirement is that you are a Canadian over the age of 18, who is entering on behalf of a baby you love. This Canada-wide opportunity is open to babies on the way and children up to the age of four. Current and soon-to-be moms, dads, grandparents, other family members, and friends are all welcome to enter.

  • How can I improve my chances of winning?

When you enter Dear Baby, you automatically get an entry into the grand prize draw, but it doesn’t stop there. We’ll be unveiling new Extra Entry opportunities throughout the contest, so keep coming back to improve your chances of winning. It might mean sharing your letter with your friends or even inviting another relative to write one, just remember that the more entries you have, the greater the odds your name will be drawn.

  • When does the contest end?

Dear Baby stops accepting new letters on December 13, 2018. A winner will be drawn and announced shortly after that date.

  • How will you choose the winner?

We thought about having a baby breakdancing contest but our lawyers didn’t like that. Instead, the winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. Yep, it’s really that simple—good luck. (See rules for details.)

  • Why isn’t the contest available in French?

Unfortunately, we’re not very good French speakers and we simply don’t have the ability to operate a contest in French. You can still submit your letter in English, French or any other language to earn entries.
